Diamantina information centre

Jodie was the QPWS interpretive project manager responsible for developing and coordinating Diamantina National Park’s new visitor information centre. Working in close consultation with Traditional Owners and a multi-disciplinary QPWS team, Jodie developed a concept that seamlessly integrated existing cultural displays into a time-lined story celebrating the park’s natural and cultural heritage. The combination of an old station storeroom setting, Traditional stories and legends, pastoralist quotes and ecological facts highlights the incredible ingenuity of human, beast and plant to survive such a harsh environment.
